FeedbackChimp allows you to manage feedback for multiple products, whether they are distinct from one another or share similarities. You can use separate workspaces or create multiple feedback boards to organize feedback effectively, depending on your needs.
Managing Very Different Products
For products that are significantly different, it's best to use separate Workspaces. Each workspace acts as an independent area where you can manage feedback for a distinct product, ensuring no overlap between feedback boards, settings, or users.
To create a new workspace:
- Click on the top header of your current workspace. This will open a sidebar.
- Click the Create new workspace button.
- Follow the prompts to set up your new workspace, including naming it and configuring any initial settings.
Each workspace is completely separate, so feedback collected for one product will not interfere with or affect other workspaces. For more information, check our documentation on adding new workspace here.
Managing Similar Products
If your products are similar and share overlapping features, it is more efficient to use multiple Feedback Boards within a single workspace. This approach allows you to gather feedback in a centralized place while still organizing it by product.
To create a new feedback board:
- From your FeedbackChimp dashboard, navigate to the Boards tab.
- Click on the Create Board button.
- Name the board, add a description, and set visibility options (public or private).
You can create unlimited feedback boards, each with its own posts, visibility settings, and configurations. Learn more about Board Settings here.
Public vs. Private Feedback Boards
When using multiple feedback boards, you can choose whether to make each board public or private:
- Public Boards: Visible to everyone, allowing any user to view and interact with the board. Learn more about public boards here.
- Private Boards: Restricted to specific people, suitable for gathering internal feedback or beta testing.
Why Use Multiple Workspaces or Boards?
Using separate workspaces or feedback boards can help you:
- Organize Feedback Efficiently: Manage different products or features without confusion.
- Maintain Clear Boundaries: Keep feedback for distinct products separate or centralized as needed.
- Control Access: Choose who can view or provide feedback by configuring visibility settings.
