FeedbackChimp is a powerful tool that allows you to collect, manage, and act on feedback from your users in a streamlined and organized manner. Whether you're gathering product suggestions, identifying pain points, or prioritizing future updates, FeedbackChimp helps you stay in touch with your users’ needs and make informed decisions.
How FeedbackChimp Helps You Collect and Manage Feedback
FeedbackChimp helps you collect and manage feedback by setting up boards, using in-app features and feedback portals.
Method 1: Collecting Feedback Using Public Boards
A Feedback Board is a public or private space where users can submit their feedback, ideas, or issues.
Admins can create multiple feedback boards to categorize different aspects of your product or service (e.g., feature requests, bug reports, etc.).
- Public Boards: Users can view, comment, and vote on feedback submitted by others.
- Private Boards: Feedback is only visible to the admin team and the original submitter.
Follow the steps below to set collect feedback using public boards in FeedbackChamp:
- Navigate to the Boards section in the FeedbackChimp dashboard.
- Click on the ‘Create New Board’ button as shown below.
Next, customize your board by configuring the following options:
- Setting the visibility to public or private.
- Enabling anonymous posting.
- Setting up post moderation, voting etc.
For a full step-by-step guide check out our article on setting up public boards here.
Method 2: Collecting Feedback Using Widget
If you install the FeedbackChimp feedback widget on your site, then end users can simply click on the widget to share their feedback without needing to go to a public board.
When the click on the widget, a popup will appear where they can share their feedback as shown below.
Additional Features To Manage Feedback
In addition to allowing end users to share their feedback with the admin, FeedbackChimp also gives full control to the admin team on how they can manage the feedback they collect. You can configure these settings by:
- Navigate to Boards from your admin dashboard.
- Click on the ‘General’ tab as shown below.
Let’s take a look at what some of these features do and how they help you manage feedback:
- Voting on Feedback: Once feedback is submitted, other users can vote to show their support for particular suggestions. Upvoting helps highlight which ideas are most popular among your users. As an admin, you can sort feedback by the number of votes to see which suggestions or issues should take priority.
- Post and Comments Moderation: When an end user submits a feedback, the admin team can choose to review the posts and comments before publishing them. Alternatively, the admin can also disable moderation so that posts are published instantly.
- Anonymous Commenting & Voting: Admins can enable anonymous commenting, posting and voting to allow users to post feedback without requiring an account, making it easier for users who prefer to remain anonymous.
There are many more features available with FeedbackChimp to make it easy for you to collect and manage feedback. Check out our documentation on Board Settings to learn more.
