Setting up the Asana Integration

  1. From your FeedbackChimp dashboard, go to Settings and select Integrations.
  2. Scroll down to the Project Management Tools section. Here, you’ll find Asana listed among the available integrations. Click on Asana to begin the integration process.
  3. You’ll be taken to a new page where you can click Connect Asana. This action will redirect you to Asana, where you’ll need to authorize FeedbackChimp to access your Asana account.
  4. Allow authorization to connect FeedbackChimp with your Asana account.
  5. Once the integration is complete, FeedbackChimp will be connected to your Asana account, allowing you to create Asana tasks directly from feedback items in FeedbackChimp.

Managing the Asana Integration

FeedbackChimp makes it easy for you to manage your workflow by helping you choose to automate and sync tasks across both platforms. With FeedbackChimp, you can:
  1. Auto push new feedback posts as tasks in your Asana Project.
  2. Set up different rules to streamline your workflow across FeedbackChimp and Asana.
  3. Link FeedbackChimp posts with Asana tasks and projects.

Step 1: Select Your Asana Workspace

Choose the Asana workspace you want to connect with FeedbackChimp. Click Save to authorize the integration.

Auto Push New Feedback Posts to Asana

With Asana integration, feedback posts can easily be added to project task lists, helping you prioritize and manage action items directly within Asana.
To sync feedback to project task lists, you have to:
  1. Click on the + Add new auto push button.
  2. Select the Board in FeedbackChimp and the Project Asana that you want to sync.

Now, whenever you create a new feedback post on the selected board, it will automatically create a new task in the specified project in Asana as shown below.

Sync Task Completion Updates With Asana

As you complete tasks in Asana, you can return to FeedbackChimp to update the status of related feedback, ensuring the feedback loop remains open with your users.
  1. Click on the +Create new rule button to set a new rule for updating tasks across FeedbackChimp and Asana.
  2. You can choose to set any or all linked Asana task to sync with FeedbackChimp. If these tasks are changed to Complete Status in Asana, then the related linked FeedbackChimp post will also update its status to whatever status you want to set it to. You can also choose to notify or not notify voters when this happens.

When you are done adding the rules, make sure to click 'Save' to update your changes. Now, whenever you update a status on FeedbackChimp, the related post will also be updated on Asana.

Create New Tasks in Asana From FeedbackChimp

You can select any post from FeedbackChimp and create a new task for that post on Asana from within your FeedbackChimp dashboard. The post will be automatically linked with the newly created task on Asana.
  1. Navigate to the Feedback tab from your FeedbackChimp dashboard.
  2. Click on the Edit icon next to any post that you want to set as a new task on Asana.
  3. In the post editor, scroll down to the Asana Tasks from the righthand side bar.

  4. Click on the Create new task button to set the post as a new task on your Asana project.
  5. A popup will appear where you can select which Asana project you want to create the task in, as well as the name for the task and any additional notes. When you go to Asana, you will see the new task being created as shown below.

How to Remove the Asana Integration

If you need to disconnect Asana from FeedbackChimp:
  1. Go to Settings > Integrations in FeedbackChimp.
  2. Find Asana and click the Uninstall button.

This will stop syncing tasks between FeedbackChimp and Asana, removing FeedbackChimp’s access from your Asana account.
