Integrating Matomo Analytics with FeedbackChimp enables you to monitor user activity on your Feedback Portal while maintaining full control over your data. Matomo is a powerful, privacy-focused analytics platform that provides actionable insights without compromising user privacy.

Steps to Get Your Matomo Tracking ID

To connect FeedbackChimp with Matomo Analytics, you need your Matomo Tracking ID. Follow these steps to retrieve it:
  1. Go to your Matomo Analytics instance and log in with your credentials.
  2. Click the Administration gear icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
  3. Under the Websites section, select Manage to view a list of sites you’ve added to Matomo.
  4. Locate the FeedbackChimp Feedback Portal site in the list. The Site ID will be listed next to the site name. It is a numeric value (e.g., 1 or 5).

  5. Note down or copy the Site ID as you’ll need it to connect Matomo with FeedbackChimp.

Setting up the Matomo Analytics Integration in FeedbackChimp

  1. From your FeedbackChimp dashboard, navigate to Settings and select Integrations.
  2. Scroll down to the Analytics Tools section. Locate Matomo Analytics in the list of available integrations and click on it.
  3. Enter your Matomo server URL (e.g., https://analytics.yourdomain.com) to ensure FeedbackChimp sends data to the correct Matomo instance.
  4. Paste your Matomo Site ID into the designated field.

  5. Click Save to finalize the integration. FeedbackChimp will now start sending tracking data to your Matomo dashboard.

  3. Click the Uninstall button to stop sending data to Matomo.
